Current Makeup Favorites

Hello ladies,

Today I want to share with you some of my current makeup favorites. Some of these items are my absolute holy grail products. I’ve experimented with A LOT of different brands/ products and so far these are my absolute MUST HAVES!

To start off, I want to describe my skin type. I consider my skin to be more on the dry side, although I do get oily around the T zone. My skin will normally be normal, but around winter/ spring seasons it will get really dry if I don’t moisturize properly. I can’t complain too much about acne, although I do get occasional breakouts around “that” time of the month 🙂 as most of us do.

1. Burberry Luminous fluid sheer foundation.

I’ve tried A LOT of different liquid foundations, and out of Chanel, Dior, Benefit, Nars, and everything else you can think of this Burberry foundation is the best stuff I’ve ever used. It’s light to medium coverage, but you can definitely built it up to a more full coverage without it being too noticeable.

 2. Chanel Double Perfection Lumiere powder foundation.

The main reason I love this powder is because of the fact that it simply keeps my skin matte all day. Like I mentioned before I do get oily around the T zone so I try to look for powders that will control the oiliness around that area. As far as coverage goes, it’s a long wearing full coverage foundation, but trust me it doesn’t look like you have a ton of powder on your face at all. Its absolutely STUNNING!

foundation & concealer

Most people have heard about the Mac Pro Longwear concealer, but if you haven’t you’re missing out. It’s perfect for under eye dark circles. It’s long lasting, and doesn’t crease throughout the day. I find that this product is a little too heavy for covering blemishes, so I mostly use it when I don’t get enough sleep or just want to look a little more awake.

chanel 2

My favorite Mascara of ALL TIME is the Le Volume De CHANEL mascara. I’ve tried the “better than sex” mascara by benefit I believe, but in my opinion they don’t even compare. Le volume is 1000 x better! It gives the most amazing volume, and you can add more coats to make the lashes appear longer. It doesn’t smudge throughout the day and is easy to wash off. Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s PHENOMINAL.

bronzer & eye shadow

This mineral bronzer by Victorias Secret is pretty impressive. I usually use the Nars “laguna” bronzer, but I ran out of it a couple of weeks ago and decided to use and old favorite of mine. It’s very inexpensive and gives a beautiful bronzy look without looking orange.

Milani Shadow eyez pencils are a must have for me now. It’s such an easy way to apply eye shadow when you don’t have much time and are on the go. The color pigmentation is amazing, and they’re super cheap. I found mine at Target, I’m sure they’re sold in many different drug stores.

blushThis Nars blush in the color “deep throat” is such a beautiful color for summer. It’s more on the peachy side so it gives a very beautiful summer glow. It is kind of shimmery, so if you don’t like that you might not like this product.

Nars Concealer is an amazing concealer for covering blemishes. It’s covers very well without making your skin feel like it can’t breath. I have tried using it under my eyes but I found that it would crease throughout the day, so I just stick to Mac Pro Longwear for the dark circles.
