Hi Everyone! Mondays are laundry days for me. I’m not sure what I was thinking when I made laundry a part of my Monday’s chores… I mean, Monday is difficult as it is, right? By the way, how cute are these pictures of Eloise in her laundry basket? So stinking cute!
Some of you have asked about the detergent that we use so I’ve made a blog post all around that… We use DREFT pur-touch baby detergent and we LOVE it. You know that incredible baby smell? Well, this detergent is just that in a bottle… I think I might just buy this detergent when Ellie grows up just to remember her lovely baby smell… Oh, if only our babies could stay little for a little longer 🙁 This particular detergent is made with 65% plant based ingredients, hypoallergenic, and it removes 99% of baby food stains. In other words, it’s not harsh like other detergents, smells amazing and does the job!

I can’t believe I’m doing my 39 week pregnancy update! We’re so so close to meeting our little one that it seems surreal to me! I am definitely feeling exhausted and am over being pregnant at this point. Nonetheless, I’m extremely grateful to God for every moment of this beautiful journey.
HOW FAR ALONG: 39 weeks!
TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN: I’m currently 149 pounds :/ seriously, how is this even possible? lol
MATERNITY CLOTHES: of course… nothing else fits 🙂
STRETCH MARKS: Nope!
SLEEP: I don’t remember what it feels like to sleep through the night.. but it’s ok 🙂 all worth it!
BEST MOMENT RECENTLY: Setting up the nursery! It’s such a delicate and girly room. Can’t wait to show it to you all.
MISS ANYTHING: SLEEP!
MOVEMENT: Not feeling as much movements but they’re definitely stronger.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Pomegranates
ANYTHING MAKING YOU QEASY OR SICK: No
LABOR SIGNS: Lots of pre-labor contractions. Baby is super low, so low that doctors are able to feel her head when checking my cervix. Lol TMI, I know 😉 Was also told that I’m currently 2cm dilated.
MOOD: Anxious, in a good way. Definitely feeling like I’m exhausted from being pregnant and am ready to meet our little girl.
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Meeting our baby! I still can’t believe that soon we’re going to be parents of two!
Many of you have been asking about whether or not we’re going to be revealing the gender of our baby. The answer to that is YES! Here’s a little story as to why we have decided to wait a little bit before announcing the gender. My husband and I went to an early gender determination scan at 13 weeks. They were able to tell the gender of our little bean right away. The tech assured us that it was 100% accurate and that she was so sure of it that she was willing to go to the bank and bet on it. We left the clinic convinced that we were having a …..
Soon after, I went to see my doctor for a check up and she asked if we know the gender and I told her about getting a gender scan at 13 weeks. She laughed at me and said that there was no way they could tell so early and that I shouldn’t trust them at all but to wait for my ultrasound in 2 weeks to confirm the gender. And that’s why I want to wait another 2 weeks before finally announcing the gender of our precious one. I can’t help but feel like I’m so set on what the tech told me at 13 weeks that I’ll be disappointed to hear otherwise.
I’ve added a picture of our little bean from 13 weeks. What are your guesses? Is it a BOY or Girl? Leave your guesses bellow. I’d love to see what you all think.
Those of you who have kids HAVE to try out this bottle. It’s by a brand called Twistshake and in my opinion it’s brilliant!! It’s a bottle for your milk and snack/formula in one. It saves time and space in the diaper bag plus its BPA free which is extremely important to me.
USE COUPON CODE: NELYAKHRYUKIN20 to get 20% off any bottle (even the ones on discount 😉 ) you choose.
